According to official figures from the Dominican Association of Free Trade Zones (ADOZONA), RD$20 billion pesos have been invested in the Dominican free trade zone industry, generating US$366 million pesos in revenue for the DR and creating 47,388 new jobs in the last 4 years. The 266 new FTZ’s have been opened in the following regions: 116 in the north, 77 in Santo Domingo and vicinities, 37 in the east and 36 in the south region.
